Did you know that the SDEWES Conference has a Special Social program?
We at SDEWES Conference take great pride in the scientific excellence of our invited lecturers and authors of papers included in Special and other Conferences sessions, but there is another program that truly makes this Conference complete, and this is our Special Social program.
From 27th September to 3rd October you will have a unique opportunity to enjoy the company of top experts in the field of sustainable development from all around the world and, through our social program, exchange ideas in a more informal way, while enjoying the beautiful sites and history of Dubrovnik. It is not without reason that the SDEWES Conference was held so many times in this wonderful city. Dubrovnik is a UNESCO protected World heritage known as the pearl of the Adriatic with its gleaming white-stone city walls and sunny seaside location. Unique for its impressive medieval forts and beautiful Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque churches, monasteries, palaces and fountains, Dubrovnik is a city of rich cultural heritage. With its Mediterranean warm climate, beautiful surroundings and good transport connections, Dubrovnik is a magnet for tourists all year round (over 860,000 people visited Dubrovnik in 2014).

Feel the wind in your hair and soak up some sun while enjoying the blue, shimmery Adriatic.
Several combinations of bus and boat transfers will be organized, so make sure you choose your preferences in SDEWES conference system www.dubrovnik2015.sdewes.org/registration
Each participant will receive a special ticket with instructions/schedule for the excursion and a dinner. Detailed instructions and timetables of bus/boats departures will be available on these pages.
Four options are available:
After the field trip we will head back to Dubrovnik for a dinner in Old City in the beautiful Lazareti Complex. The Lazareti, consisting of eight preserved buildings and five courtyards, were renovated in 1623 from the seaside in order to also enable landing of larger boats. The complex included large warehouses for goods and livestock, as well as lodgings for the extended stay of merchants and travellers in isolation. Today, the Lazareti serve manifold purposes such as recreation, trade and entertainment.
After the sun sets, it's time to hit the dance floor and enjoy some karaoke. For the most energetic ones, afterwards we'll continue to party – Revelin style! We invite all party goers to join us at the Culture Club Revelin, situated at the Revelin fortress which has become the central place of night life in, not only Dubrovnik, but the entire Dalmatia.
Please note: there will be no organised transportation after the end of dinner and social programme so we suggest walking to Pile bus stop and taking public transportation or taxi to the hotel.
Welcome reception, dinner and excursion organised by our tourist agency Dubrovnik Sati d.o.o. are free for all participants so submit your final papers, complete your registration and come to Dubrovnik!
Immerse yourself in Dubrovnik's culture and history, join us and let's create a tradition together!
