You can take a taxi or the shuttle from the airport. Atlas company has bus lines (shuttle) from Dubrovnik airport to the centre with buses departing after arrival of every regular flight. The price is around 5 EUR (one-way ticket) and it will take you to Dubrovnik centre from where you can catch a public transportation bus (or taxi) to your hotel.
The bus from the airport will leave you at Pile bus station (next to the Old city) and you need to go to Babin kuk where the Conference venue is. You can take a taxi or bus line number 6 that will take you to Babin kuk.
The alternative would be to take a taxi from the airport (about 35-50 EUR to the city). The distance between the airport and the city is 22 km.
Distance from the Conference venue to the city centre is 6 km so you will need to use taxi or public bus transportation for getting around in Dubrovnik. You should consider buying a Dubrovnik card as it includes both bus rides and free entrance to some of Dubrovnik's sights and more. You can see detailed information on their site www.dubrovnikcard.com.
Public buses (Libertas company) are orange in colour and they can take you to any part of the city. Tickets can be bought on any kiosk, on the bus, on hotel receptions and some tourist agencies. If you are buying on the bus bring exact change with you as drivers will not be able to return the needed change. Each single ticket is valid for an hour since its first use for an unlimited number of rides within the city. Ticket costs 12 HRK/cca 1,6 EUR at the kiosk and 15 HRK/cca 2 EUR at the bus. Daily ticket is 30 HRK/cca 4 EUR and „P” ticket for 20 rides is 150 HRK/cca 20 EUR.
There are three lines that drive to Babin kuk, buses no. 5, 6 and 7. The best one is no. 6 as it departs every 15 minutes and will take you to Pile bus station (by the Old town) and to Lapad, where the nearest pharmacy, post office etc. are situated. See the buses timetable here.
You can also use a taxi. When a customer enters a taxi, the taximeter must be running, with the start amount of 25 HRK/cca 3 EUR. If the taximeter is not running, the customer is not obliged to pay the fare. Every extra kilometre costs 8 HRK/cca 1 EUR. Drive from Pile (centre) to one of the Conference hotels should cost around 70 HRK/cca 10 EUR.
